Hello,
My name is Zack DeBruyne. I am a Canadian Pastor, and I am passionate about athletic chaplaincy, particularly with a focus on the intersection between Pastoral care, counselling, and football.
I have been searching far and wide for a way to connect with someone who may be able to put me in touch with a Chaplaincy organization in the UK.
I am not sure if this is the best outlet. But say Rev. Boyer’s name, and thought I should try. If not, I apologize for this submission.
Thank you for your time,
Grace and Peace,
Zack
I am bringing seminary students to Manchester UK in January 2024 for a conference on. youth/young adult ministry–and I’d love for them to have a conversation with someone about religion and sport (maybe sport as religion!) — and how many young people experience sport almost as a religious following. Ideally, I’d love to do this in the context of Manchester’s football stadium (which Ted Lasso has made available even to non-soccer fans!) I know you are retired, but I have not been able to find a current contact for a chaplain of the football club. If you’re not available, might you connect me with the proper person to talk to? Many thanks! – Kenda Creasy Dean, Professor, Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton NJ USA
